Case study
A personal AI assistant
Boti is a personal AI assistant: the user talks to it in the browser or in the phone app, picks an assistant for the job, say a trainer, a dietitian or a copywriter, and the AI model that should answer. One account works on every device with the same conversation history, and access is bought on a subscription.
Context
One person needs a training plan in the morning, ad copy for their shop at noon and a meal plan for the week in the evening. Each of those is a different conversation with different expectations, and the AI tools of the time expected you to know how to talk to a model to get anything useful. Boti offers ready-made assistants to choose from, among them a personal trainer, a dietitian and a copywriter, each in its own chat set up for its job. The project was built at the time of the ChatGPT launch, before similar products existed.
What I built
Conversations with the assistant
- Ready-made assistants to choose from, among them a personal trainer, a dietitian and a copywriter, each in its own chat with its own settings.
- Several AI models to pick from, depending on what the user needs at the time.
Account and access
- One account in the browser and in the phone app, with the same conversation history.
- A subscription with online payments.
Outcome
The user has one assistant for all their everyday matters, in the browser and on the phone, with no need to learn how to talk to a model: they pick a trainer, a dietitian or a copywriter and get an answer to their own question straight away. The app was ready in 2023, in the first months after the ChatGPT launch, before similar products existed.
